Escape Hair and Beauty (Burnley) Ltd is responsible for the information described here. We are a company registered in England & Wales, company no. 14882129, at 152 Briercliffe Road, Burnley, Lancashire, BB10 2NZ.
This website collects nothing about you. There is no contact form, no booking form and no newsletter sign-up. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics, and there are no advertising or tracking pixels. The site sets no cookies and saves nothing in your browser — which is why you have never been shown a cookie banner here.
When you get in touch
Every “book” and “message” button on this site opens WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, or dials our number. At that point you are using those services rather than this website, and their own privacy terms cover the message you send. What reaches us is your name, your number or handle, and whatever you have written. We use it to reply and to arrange your appointment, and for nothing else.
What we keep in the salon
Separately from this website we keep the records any salon needs: your contact details, your appointment history, and the notes your stylist takes — colour formulas, timings, patch-test results, and any allergies or skin sensitivities you have told us about.
We keep those because we cannot colour or treat you safely without them. Information about your health is treated as a special category under data protection law, and we hold it only where it is necessary to protect your health, and only for as long as you are a client.
Who else sees it
This website is hosted by Netlify, which records standard technical information such as IP addresses as part of serving any website. Beyond that we do not share your information with anybody, we never sell it, and we do not pass it to anyone for their marketing.
How long we keep it
Client and treatment records are kept while you are a client and for six years afterwards, which is the period we may need them for insurance and tax. Messages that do not lead to an appointment are deleted once the conversation has ended.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Speak to anyone in the salon, call us, or send us a message, and we will sort it out within a month. If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
